DeLaval Plast comprises a primer, a two-component MMA binder and high quality quartz sand. This combination withstands daily mechanical and chemical attack on a dairy farm. The top coating gives a finish to surfaces that will remain non-slippery, even when wet. DeLaval Plast can be applied to new, old or damaged surfaces.

A hygienically smooth surface coated with DeLaval Plast, is easy to clean and disinfect. It also reduces falls, cuts, injuries and overall stress for you and your cows. It will give a seamless, attractive and professional finish to all your dairy’s surfaces.

Feed represents approximately 40 per cent of milk production costs. A feeding table is highly exposed to silage acids which will damages concrete surfaces. This forms a breeding ground for bacteria. DeLaval Plast protects the feed table to preserve feed quality and intake.

Animal welfare improvement resulting from the use of the solution
Safe walk by slip protection on floors in rotaries, parlour, VMS and milkroom

Feeding table coating compare to unprotected concrete surface results in:
Higher feed intake as a result of better feed quality. Positive impact to increase milk yield.

  • Less feed wastage, as even the fine particles in mixed rations can be eaten right down
  • Time savings thanks to faster push back and easier cleaning
  • Less spores *  = better milk price = higher income (*lab test DeLaval)
  • Less germs and bacteria*  = reduced risk for mastitis (*lab test DeLaval)
