The VSM comes in six sizes, from 8 m³ to 22 m³. All have mixing containers in high quality steel and mixing gear designed for heavy duty operation and long service life. Weighing and programming of the mixed ration can be managed on a stand alone system, or connected to management software. A DeLaval vertical stationary mixer provides a good, fluffy feed mix within a short mixing time. The unique auger design in combination with the counter knives mixes and cuts even whole round bales and long straw.

Providing total high-quality mixing by combining one central, bottom auger with two upper augers. The bottom auger has a special cutting device that efficiently cuts an even and homogenous ration. The stationary mixer is suitable for use with both total mixed ration (TMR) and partly mixed ration (PMR). In the PMR concept, the concentrate is mainly distributed in feeding stations and the mixed feed in distribution wagons like DeLaval feed wagon RA135. The horizontal stationary mixer can handle a base ration for a group of animals or the whole herd.
