Mathers Dairy Utensils have recently been appointed as the main dealer for DeLaval in Ayrshire. Established in 1922, this family-owned business spans over four generations, proudly serving as one of the UK’s longest-standing DeLaval dealers. With vast experience in the dairy industry we strive to meet all customers' needs in both capital goods and the aftermarket portfolio.

Role description

Mathers Dairy Utensils is looking to appoint a Aftersales person for dairy farms. The right person will be a motivated, driven, self-starter ready to hunt sales and deliver results, with a particular interest in aftermarket products for dairy & cow hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow sales for aftermarket in Ayrshire & Stranraer
  • Generate your own customer run
  • Build long-term, sustainable business relationships with dairy farmers in the area
  • Fulfil agreed sales targets and budgets
  • Execute activities to generate new leads and aftersales enquiries
  • Be a strong ambassador for Mathers Dairy Utensils and the DeLaval brand

Required qualifications and skills 

  • Fundamental Sales Skills and general business acumen
  • Understanding of the dairy farming industry
  • Relevant work experience in the field (or similar)
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships/partnerships
  • Structured, detailed and well-organised
  • Good Administrative, Numerical and IT skills
  • Must possess a clean, valid Full UK driver's licence
  • Knowledge of DeLaval solutions would be an advantage

Location

The role will cover our dealer area of Ayrshire & Stranraer. You will be required to occasionally attend meetings/training nationally/internationally.
