DeLaval updates its Biosecurity Protocols
April 9, 2024
The recent outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI-A, H5N1) in the U.S. and the presence of Salmonella Dublin on some dairies in Canada, led the company to review its biosecurity protocols. DeLaval's updated policy shifts how employees approach farm visits and provides guidelines for the appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) that should be worn.
The new DeLaval biosecurity protocols were developed with the safety of all involved in mind – employees, farm personnel, and dairy cattle. Review the DeLaval Biosecurity Protocols here.
We share our biosecurity protocols for DeLaval employees as information only. Others should determine the protocols that are appropriate for them. If you have any questions, please send an email to info.usa@delaval.com.
